Providing complete and accurate information helps the IPXO Abuse Prevention team investigate abuse more efficiently. When possible, include the reported IP address, URLs, timestamps, log files, screenshots, and any other relevant evidence that might help identify the abusive activity.

While no organization can completely eliminate abuse, timely reports allow abuse prevention teams to investigate incidents faster, take appropriate actions, and limit abuse impact. After receiving your report, the IPXO Abuse Prevention team reviews the information and assesses the reported activity. Currently, 98.33% of abuse cases are handled automatically, while the remaining 1.67% require manual review by the team. If additional information is required, the team may contact the reporter before the appropriate action is taken.

Investigation times vary depending on the type of abuse, the complexity of the case, and the information provided in the report. Complete and accurate reports help the IPXO Abuse Prevention team investigate incidents more efficiently, while more complex cases may require additional review or communication before they’re resolved.

The primary responsibility for preventing and addressing IP abuse lies with the user of the leased IP addresses. While IPXO actively monitors IP reputation and investigates abuse reports, it cannot fully control how customers use leased IP resources. IPXO works closely with customers to investigate incidents, mitigate abuse, and take appropriate action when needed.

Depending on the nature and severity of the incident, IPXO may notify the IP user, request remediation, temporarily suspend or restrict access to affected IP resources or services, request the removal of content that violates applicable policies, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and assist with blocklist removal. The appropriate response is determined on a case-by-case basis in accordance with IPXO’s policies and Terms of Service.
