How To Terminate a Leased Subnet on the Marketplace (IP Lessee)
Learn how to terminate/remove leased subnets via the IPXO Portal.
Use the shortcuts below to select instructions that show how to terminate leased subnets without or with a commitment agreement.
Terminate subnets without the commitment agreement
If you have not signed a commitment agreement, you can terminate your leased subnets by the End of the billing cycle or Immediately.
Step 1: Log in to the IPXO Portal
Go to ipxo.com/portal/login, type in your login credentials and click Log In.
Step 2: Go to My Leased IPs menu
In the menu at the top, select My Resources (IPAM) -> My Leased IPs to see and manage all your leased subnets.
Step 3: Select the subnet you wish to terminate
Identify the subnet you wish to terminate and click the three dots icon on the right. Open the menu and select Terminate.
Step 4: Confirm the termination
Select the chosen service expiration time and the reasons for termination and then click Terminate.
- End of the billing cycle: The subnet will remain active until the end of the ongoing billing cycle, and all upcoming invoices for the terminated subnet will be cancelled. Select this option if you decide not to lease the subnet for the upcoming month.
- Immediately: The subnet will be terminated in the upcoming 30-60 minutes, and any pending invoices will be cancelled. Select this option if you wish to cancel the subnet that is being refunded or returned to the Marketplace for other reasons.
Note: If you terminate the subnet earlier than the subnet’s expiration date, the remaining paid amount will not be returned automatically.
Terminate subnets with the commitment agreement
If you have signed a commitment agreement, you can request subnet termination.
Select Request a Termination.
Step 4: Confirm the subnet termination request
Once you click Terminate, you will be notified about your next steps via an email.
Note: IP lessees cannot initiate automated subnet termination if a Commitment agreement has been signed. Requests for subnet termination are assessed on an individual basis.
Stopping the announcement
Once your leased subnet is terminated, you will be informed about it via an email. Afterward, please make sure that the subnet is not announced by your service provider (ASN) to avoid using it without service renewal. If the subnet is announced without the service renewal, an additional invoice will be generated to cover the subnet’s usage without renewal.
Please refer to our Terms of Service for more information about subnet termination. If you have questions, contact us via the IPXO Helpdesk.
