Newest IPXO Feature Release Enables Adding APNIC Subnets

IPXO clients can start monetizing IP addresses from APNIC via the IPXO Marketplace.

IPXO welcomes APNIC IP holders to the IPXO Marketplace.

At IPXO, we are on a mission to alleviate the global shortage of IPv4 addresses. Since the launch of the IPXO Marketplace in 2021, we have been taking concrete steps to build a platform that can serve all five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) and enable customers to monetize and lease subnets globally.

Today, we are excited to announce the latest step in the development of the IPXO Marketplace. We are now supporting subnets distributed by the Asian Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC)!

APNIC ran out of IPv4 resources in 2011, increasing the demand for a transparent and centralized depository of resources. A depository that would allow IP holders to monetize their unused subnets and enable those in need of resources from APNIC to lease them.

Consequently, having identified this problem, the IPXO Product team worked hard to unlock the IPXO Marketplace to APNIC users, introducing the functionality of the world-leading IPv4 Marketplace with the latest IPXO Changelog update

AFRINIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC and RIPE NCC subnets can be added to the IPXO Marketplace.

How to add APNIC subnets to the IPXO Marketplace

To help our customers start monetizing their APNIC resources quickly and effortlessly, we have created a four-step guide on how to prepare subnets for the IPXO Marketplace

  1. Check your subnet’s status
  2. Create a more specific inetnum that will be added to the IPXO Marketplace.
  3. Create a maintainer for IPXO to manage your resource.
  4. Update the inetnum with the created maintainer.
  5. Provide the maintainer created in step 3 to IPXO.

IPXO is the industry’s leader in IP abuse prevention, and we require our customers to confirm the ownership of their subnets before monetizing them. We can verify your ownership by sending a confirmation email to the Organization Email listed in your APNIC Resource Manager. Learn how to update your organization’s email using our guide.

APNIC users, welcome to IPXO!

We are excited to open the IPXO Marketplace to you! Create your account and start monetizing your APNIC subnets today!
